I hear they're few and far between here in the city. Is this true?

The Croatian Cultural Centre throws some killer shows sometimes...but pretty much every other all ages venue is a rec centre of some kind.

Yeah, what the hell is up with Vancouver? I've always wanted to play an all ages show here, but theres nothing, save for the Video-In, which is mainly hardcore kids. Playing all ages shows is so much fun and rewarding than playing bar shows.

We've never done an all ages show, but it'd be cool to throw one together with some killer bands one day! lets make it happen man

Hmmm.... I guess the other issue is Hall rental. Back in Campbell River, renting a hall costed 150 to 400 bucks a night, sometimes requiring a damage deposit. That wasn't so bad if the show was promoted well enough. We'd atleast break even and have a good time. I havn't checked into it but I assume Hall rentals cost a fuckload more here(like any rental in Vancouver).

Have a show on street, like for the homeless, they are usually all ages, and they might pay you in drugs.

I wish I could think of something cynical to say in response. Damn my proactive ways.
